Cetronia Ambulance Corps in Allentown is currently hiring Full time Paramedics. 

We are looking for experienced paramedics to be a member of our team of healthcare professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to provide swift emergency medical care that will include responding to both Emergency and Non-Emergency calls.  You must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly rewarding environment. 

To be successful in this role you must be committed to providing the best patient care. You will be compassionate, focused, and able to collaborate with other first responders, such as police officers and firefighters.

Paramedic Responsibilities:

• Driving the ambulance and/or other emergency vehicles.
• Responding to emergency calls and radio transmissions.
• Assessing patients on the scene and making preliminary diagnoses.
• Providing emergency medical treatment, including administering medication, pain relief, intravenous infusions, and dressing wounds/injuries.
• Employing specialist equipment when needed.
• Transporting patients to the emergency department of healthcare facilities, such as hospitals.
• Monitoring and tending to patients while in transit.
• Communicating with medical staff at healthcare facilities in order to provide patient information, including medical condition and treatment plan.
• Writing and submitting accurate incident and patient reports.
• Cleaning the ambulance/emergency vehicle and maintaining medical equipment.

Requirements

• Currently registered as a Paramedic or PHRN by the state of Pennsylvania or be able to receive reciprocity to gain PA License. 
• High degree of personal integrity and responsibility.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, using good judgment and common sense with a thorough understanding of the principles of emergency medical care at the paramedic level.
• Ability to work efficiently and interact in a constructive and professional manner with other employees, a partner, public safety personnel, medical staff, and other emergency medical service members.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients, customers, clients, family members, bystanders, and the general public in such a manner as to reflect credibly on the organization.
• Demonstrates a level of skill and ability consistent with the provision of high-quality patient care.
• The ability to perform effectively as team leader in patient care situations.
• The ability to perform effectively in carrying out public relations and community education functions and the ability to deal effectively with members of the medical community and general public in promoting Cetronia Ambulance
